Happy Mother's Day

Anyone can give birth but not just anyone can be a mommy!  It takes a special woman to carry that title.

Mommy's and Momma's are doctors, counselors, taxi drivers, bakers, chef's, seamstress, coach, teacher, ATM, photographer, shoulder to cry on, maid, supporter, hair dresser, make up artist, artist, versed in all school Subjects.  We have to know a little bit about everything.  Mom's have to diagnose illnesses, boo-boo's, tummy aches, and heart aches.  We have to fix whatever is broken.  We have to live by example.  We cry, we get angry, we get frustrated, we worry, we care.  Mommy's are there to pick you up and tell you to keep going.  When our children hurt, we hurt, when our children are happy, we are happy.  Being a mother is the toughest job out there.  Until you are a mother, you will never understand the unconditional love that overwhelmes us when our children become the most important factor in your life.

So to the mommy's and momma's out there...

I hope that you had a great Mother's Day!

I have to say I have some pretty amazing daughters!

They cooked me breakfast and baked a cake :)

And they let me do exactly what I wanted: NOTHING!!!  We are always so busy and constantly on the go.  I told the girls I did not want to go anywhere and did not want to do anything.  I wanted to hold the couch down with a blanket and watch movies all day.  That is what we did.  Kayla slept most of the day in the recliner.  Alyssa was back and forth between the computer and movies. Thomas was curled up next to me and even gave me a foot massage :)  Later we cooked burgers on the grill...yum!  Topped the evening off with a few glasses of wine.  What a nice relaxing and not so busy day.

The girls set the table :)
