Smith Mountain Lake Wine Festival
This past weekend was the 2011 SML Wine Festival!
I LOVE wine festivals. Always some amazing goodies, wine, and crafts!
Always a good time with great friends!
This was my first time attending the SML festival.
Oh. How. I. Loved. It.
We were a little concerned because it had rained for several days.
The weather was calling for an overcast day, 30% chance of showers, and to hover around 70 degrees.
Even though the location was in a field it was not really muddy. Straw had been laid and soaked up most of the water.
I didn't get any mud on my fabulous (& new) wedge sandals!

I seen this shirt above and loved it! Anybody who knows me, knows of my addiction with shoes!
And of my love of wine! So fitting for me :)
After a fun day of wine, I spent the better part of Sunday lounging around the house.
Thomas's grandma and dad came up.
I entertained her with
g-maw (as I often refer to her as) just laughed through this movie.
I was glad. Even though Thomas and I bought her a DVD Player and movies
last year for Christmas, I don't think she spends a lot of time (has ever) used her
DVD player. I was glad she found this so comical.
After I fixed everyone dinner
Thomas and I sat down to watch a little TV ourself while
the puppies (dogs) took a nap.

Life As I know it....Right now.
So life is crazy busy right now!
I started back to grad school for my Master's degree.
Luckily no classroom time this semester except for once in the beginning of the semester and once at the end of the semester. But there is a huge amount of reading and writing assignments due twice a week.
And I am taking two classes. There is light at the end of the tunnel. After this semester I will be half way done with my Master's degree.
In addition to school work....
I work full time. Enough said on that one.
My oldest daughter is on the track team at school. Which equals
track practice EVERYDAY.
And track meets twice a week! Plus coach/parent meetings for fundraisers, bake sales, volunteer work at the meets etc. This week I am in charge of bananas...for 4 schools. Sam's Club here I come!

On top of all that...
Today is Alyssa's Birthday! Well not officially until 3:03 PM :)
She is now 14 years old! She has a track meet on her birthday!
My youngin' Kayla is taking a dance class at a local dance academy!
That girl has got some moves! That is once a week. On a Saturday.
From 2-3 Pm. Talk about weekend interruption. Along with Alyssa's track meets that are on
Wednesday's and Saturday's! Phew...tired just thinking about it!
In addition to orthodontist appointments. Grocery shopping (which I have not done in about 2 weeks)
And my cousin gave birth to twins!!! So I was at the hospital a lot last week!

Aren't they just precious! Kyrin was born weighing 5 lbs 8 oz & Kyleigh was born weighing 5 lbs 3 oz.
A wonderful and healthy weight for twins! Needless to say when holding those babies I am in
baby heaven! Congratulations to mommy Brittany and grandma Tammy!
Along with all the "normal" mommy things I have to do I am also planning Alyssa's Ice Cream party!
I have almost everything. Okay, not really! I have the ice cream toppings.
And the balloons. A table. A birthday present.
I still need to get drinks, punch mix, ice cream, and find my table cloths and table skirts!
Still waiting to get my party stuff through the mail. And I am a little worried...since they shipped out middle of last week.
Not to mention I am working on invitations for the baby shower I am throwing next month!
Can't wait for next weekend though....time for the SML wine festival!

I have been putting together a Wedding Album for my friend who married
in Las Vegas!

An Ice Cream Birthday Party & a Sweet Treats Baby Shower
I am super excited to announce that Donna is having
A GIRL!
Now I can begin buying all the things pretty and girly!
These are the napkins and plates I will be getting
How adorable are those!
The primary color is of course pink but not a pastel pink!
A bright deep fushia pink like this
I am debating the second color between a bright green or a bright yellow!
Or maybe all three! After all when you think all things sweet
you think of candy and bright fun colors!
I'll be making the invitations myself...so stay tuned for my design :)
Alyssa's Ice Cream Birthday party is coming up in just a few weeks.

So life is crazy busy right now!
